Leonid L. Korablev è membro dell’Union of Russian Writers ed autore di oltre 20 volumi (dal 2002 al 2015) trattanti il tema della cultura islandese, compresa una traduzione in lingua russa del film “Spirits of Iceland”. Le sue opere hanno ottenuto molta attenzione dal pubblico islandese (oltre a numerose recensioni su quotidiani russi). Nel 2003 e nel 2005 Leonid L. Korablev è stato sovvenzionato dall’Ambasciatore di Islanda nella Federazione Russa Benedikt B. Jónsson. Tutti i volumi pubblicati da Leonid L. Korablev sono catalogati in Gegnir (Islanda) e quindi disponibili nelle biblioteche islandesi, tra le quali Landsbókasafn Íslands-Háskólabókasafn, Stofnun Árna Magnússonar á Islandi.
